"I first traveled North East in 2017 during my work with British Council for "Crafting India Futures Project". We had to film the voices of women weavers in Tripura. We captured the beauty of their craftsmanship and Tripura in our films. Along with memories I also got few things like this coin necklace which many tribes adorn mostly Debbarma. I also visited Mawlynnong Asia's cleanest village and there I got this beautiful basket made of natural fibres. I am lucky to have visited beautiful Tripura and I hope to see more of the wonder of North East. What I loved about North East is the spirit of hard working and self made women , the natural beauty and their rich craft and textiles."
Thank you Nidhi for this beautiful image and hope you get to travel often to the unexplored paradise of North-East India
