The Indian Rhinoceros, also known as the Greater One-horned Rhinoceros or Asian One-horned Rhinoceros, is a vulnerable species primarily found in northeastern India. Currently, only around 3,000 of these rhinos remain in the wild, with over 2,000 located in Assam, India—most notably within Kaziranga National Park, which harbors the largest population.
