region among different tribes. In the realm of folk music of this region, especially among the tribal people, a dance is always associated with vocal and instrumental music. Music and musical instruments in Assam there is indeed, God's plenty. Amongst the drums, the ‘Khol’ is a terracotta two-sided drum. The ‘Dhol’ is a double-sided barrel drum played using two wooden sticks, usually made out of bamboo and cane wood.
