These woven motifs carry deep meaning and vary across the region - telling stories of ancestry, rituals, and the rhythms of daily life. Passed down through generations, weaving here is not just a craft but a way of life - a quiet act of resilience and pride. With over 53% of India’s looms
and more than half of its weavers, the North-East plays a vital role in preserving the country's rich handloom heritage. We have graphically adopted the woven language of North-East textiles - their forms, patterns, and symbols. Each notebook is a quiet tribute to the spirit, beauty, and craftsmanship of the region’s rich textile traditions.
