Each of these textile pieces are a story of craft and tradition and local culture going back centuries. Adorn yourself with our handcrafted sarees on a mild winter evening or a summer happy day with equal ease. Each sari comes with an unstitched blouse piece.
Our sarees are made with 100% cotton yarn and azo-free dyes. As our sarees are made on traditional handloom, slight variations in color, size and motifs is inevitable, which makes them unique and one of its kind.
For now we are taking pre-orders only and production time can vary between approx. 30-45 days from the date of order.
The motif in this sari is inspired by the Bihu Dance. Bihu denotes a set of three different cultural festivals of Assam. Bihu, the most important festival of Assam is celebrated with fun and abundance by all Assamese people irrespective of caste, creed, religion, faith and belief. In a year, Bihu is celebrated three times in Assam - in the months of Maagh (the middle of January), Bohaag (Baisakh, the middle of April), and Kaati (Kartik, the middle of October). Each Bihu coincides with a distinctive phase in the farming calendar. Bihu is also used to imply Bihu dance and Bihu folk songs.
