This beautiful and delicate one is called Jaapi. This piece is inspired by Jaapi, the traditional headgear of Assam which is worn as a protection against sun and rain. Jaapis have a very significant place in Assamese culture and are also offered as a sign of respect in felicitation ceremonies.
