Assam Roofed Turtle Black Canvas Tote Bag

Assam's Kaziranga National Park is home to 15 species of turtles, including the endemic Assam Roofed Turtle. This endangered turtle, scientific name, Pangshura sylhetensis), is a species of the Geoemydidae family of turtles found in the state and its neighbouring areas. Small (carapace length up to 20 cm), omnivorous and mostly nocturnal, these turtles inhabit slow flowing floodplain rivers, streams with woody areas in lowland foothills, forest and oxbow lakes, commonly with stands of reed grasses and aquatic macrophytes, as it basks communally on logs on water.
